Edgar describes himself as a recovering Catholic. He attended Catholic school all the way from grammar (elementary) school to college. He even spent 2 ½ years checking out the Christian Brother vocation, what an impactful time that was! But there were things he was hearing in Church that didn’t make sense to him, so he massaged the messages he heard to fit within his expanding beliefs. In 2002, a friend brought Edgar to Mile Hi Church of Religious Science in Lakewood, Colorado. It was different there; he was so excited, he didn’t have to massage the message to fit his beliefs, they were talking his beliefs!
“He was born in the summer of his 27th year, coming home to a place he’d never been before. He left yesterday behind him, you might say he was born gain, you might say he found a key for every door…” Edgar is a huge John Denver fan, he listened to his songs over and over again before, during, and after his three-month adventure (in the summer of his 27th year) from his New York City hometown to Denver, Colorado.
It was during those travels - a mixture of driving, meeting people, camping out, talking, reading, hiking, and contemplating - that Edgar realized the power of our words. We create by what we say and think. It is his intention to provide you with fodder for your thoughts and words. As Barry Ebert sings, “It’s What You’re Thinking about.”
Fast Forward almost 4 decades and we find Edgar (now a Practitioner since 2016) and his Practitioner wife, Patrice (he can’t believe how blessed he is to have met and partnered with this inspirational woman), traveling the USA in their motorhome. The theme of that adventure became, “Do you believe me yet?” Both of them ardently believe that Spirit is ALWAYS conspiring for our good, even if we don’t care for the giftwrap. During our life journey, at times things don’t go the way they want them to. Several times during their adventure they didn’t get what they wanted (e.g. a particular camping spot) and EVERY TIME they got something better! They eventually got to Florida, volunteered at Florida State Parks, bought a home in the Space Coast and continue their evolution.
